Counselling at A Path To Follow
We are pleased to launch a Counselling program to our suite of services at A Path To Follow. Justin, also a Peer Support Worker in our Youth Peer Program, is passionate about counselling, social justice, and people.
Justin has many years of experience of counselling and social work roles, theories and their application to practice. His role is to counsel people, of all ages, and provide support for wider family members.
He believes in holistic practice, ideally wanting to guide individuals in getting back on track as they deal with difficult life situations, using a variety of appropriate services and counselling approaches.

Referral In
Referrals to A Path to Follow's Counselling Program can come from multiple sources, including the individual themselves, parents/caregivers, educational settings, NDIS Coordinators, or other service providers.
Initial Call
After receiving a referral, the organisation's Founding Director will schedule an initial call to determine the appropriateness of Social Work for the specific situation. During this call, they aim to understand the needs, preferences, and challenges. This conversation helps them assess how social work counselling can best support the individual on their path to healing.
Sessions Begin
Sessions will involve techniques tailored to promote self-reflection, and nurture personal growth.
